Description
This is an all day guided mountain bike ride in the Palm Canyon area outside of Palm Springs, CA. The cost of the ride does not include a shuttle service, which is required to do this ride.
This ride is limited to 2 people (yourself and a guest).
SAFEST SEASON OF OPERATION
This route is dangerous enough without heat, and for that reason we only ride this trail during the cooler months of the year. The safest days to ride are usually between November through February. Low pressure pulling moisture into the area combined with cool temps makes for an ideal ride in Palm Canyon. We use the overnight low temperature as a reference point but we also follow storm systems to make sure that the time is right. If the low temperature exceeds 70 degrees, then we do not ride it in the day time. If torrential rain, thunder storms, and flash floods are expected in the desert regions, then we do not ride. But if the weather outlook calls for light rain and temps between 50-70 degrees mid day that’s a great time for Palm Canyon. See the weather report for the nearby Palm Springs area.
On the checkout page under Additional Notes, please specify whether you want to start at Pinyon Flats or Pine View, and whether you want to finish at the Goat Trails, Dunn Road or the Art Smith Trail.
Please note: A shuttle service is required to get us to the top. That cost is not included in the tour price and varies by date, number of people, and the 3rd party used to transport us. The cost is usually around $25 per person.
