Malibu Creek State Park features beautiful California grasslands, oaks, and impressive panoramic views of the coast from 2400′ above sea level. It’s also a historical site where you might see signs of native indians that lived here and more recently, the remnants of the M.A.S.H. tv show filming area. It was also a weekend home to one of our former Presidents, Ronald Reagan. And there’s much more history you can read about at http://www.malibucreekstatepark.org/.
As a riding destination, you’re going to get a wide variety of terrain with a challenging six mile fire road climb, some sandstone rock areas to play on, and nice single tracks on the way down. There’s a little bit of riding on a narrow road with vehicle traffic, but the majority of this ride is on the dirt. It’s definitely a must see place to ride if you’re looking for a tough ride with great rewards.
