The Arroyo / Trabuco / Tijeras Loop runs through O’Neill Regional Park and the surrounding communities of Trabuco Canyon, Rancho Santa Margarita and Ladera Ranch. Comprised of two seasonal tributaries, the Arroyo Creek and the Tijeras Creek, there are many stream crossings in the lower ares of the ride. This ride is the most fun after a few days of rain when the park is open and the creek levels drop to rideable levels. In the spring time, you’ll find a breath taking amount of green and during the fall, you’ll see something unusual for Southern California weather: vibrant colors when the Sycamore trees transition into their winter dormant state. But any time of the year, this is an absolutely beautiful area to visit.
