The first three miles of this route are a gentle fire road as we go into Sycamore Canyon. The next couple miles we climb up a single track, somewhat steep at times. At about 5.5 miles, the trail turns into an easy paved road climb for about 1 mile. Next we descend down to mid-point of the ride on a combination of paved road, single track and fire road sections.
At the 9 mile mark, the real work begins as we head up a fire road for 3 miles and 900′ reaching the high point of the ride and the start of a sweet downhill track section. While the rest of this ride is completely downhill, the first three miles of single track are the most exiting part of the ride and the payoff for all the hard work. At the bottom of the single track, we rejoin the fire road back to the beach.
