As an alternate starting point for the traditional Noble Canyon EPIC, the Pine Mountain Trail begins with a nice two mile single track climb followed by a one mile teaser of downhill resembling the rest of the Noble Canyon trail. You’ll pay a little to get out of the Indian Creek valley to join up with the rest of the Noble Canyon trail, but it’s worth the effort. In the winter months, you may even find some snow on the north facing slopes!
