Description
Although the ride itself is around 4 hours, it is billed as an all-day ride due to its location.
This ride is a 16 mile out and back with about 2800 feet of technical single track climbing.
SAFEST SEASON OF OPERATION
This route is dangerous enough without heat, and for that reason we only ride this trail during the cooler months of the year. The safest days to ride are usually between November through February. Low pressure pulling moisture into the area combined with cool temps makes for an ideal ride in Palm Canyon. We use the overnight low temperature as a reference point but we also follow storm systems to make sure that the time is right. If the low temperature exceeds 70 degrees, then we do not ride it in the day time. If torrential rain, thunder storms, and flash floods are expected in the desert regions, then we do not ride.
