Description

The daily rental rate for this bike is $50.  Bike rentals are available ONLY to customers booking a tour with XEN MTB.   This is a cross country, full suspension bike capable of any ride we offer.  This has been the founder’s primary bike for over 10 years.  It has seen a lot of miles and every type of terrain that California has to offer.

Upgrades to this bike include a 2×10 Shimano XT drivetrain, Crank Brothers dropper post, carbon bars, newer “Kashima coat” Fox factory shocks (top of the line) front and back and Continental Cross King tires.  

This bike is well suited for riders 5’6″ to 5’10 tall (170cm-182cm).   For pedals you’ll have your choice of metal Crank Brothers platform pedals, Shimano SPD or bring your own.  

COLLATERAL REQUIRED

The replacement cost of this bike is $1000.

You must provide collateral to rent this bike.  Acceptable collateral items may include your driver’s license or your passport if you live in another country and a valid credit card.  Your collateral will be held until the bike is returned.  If you damage the bike, you authorize us to charge your card for the damages.

For reference:

Ripped or punctured tires (anything visible to the naked eye) are going to be $60 each. 
Tube replacements will be $10 each.   
A broken chain will be $50. 
Bent rims are going to be $150 each. 
Broken or bent pedals (either one) will be $100. 
Broken or bent cranks will be $300. 
Broken chain rings will be $30. 
A broken cassette will be $100. 
A broken derailleur will be $200.
A broken brake lever will be $200.
A broken front shock will be $600.
A broken rear shock will be $400.
A damaged frame (bent, cracked or otherwise unusable) will be $600.
